I am currently a Postdoctoral fellow at the Department of Mathematics of the University of Bologna. Before that, I was a postdoc at the Department of Mathematics of the University of Torino, a Research Fellow at the School of Natural and Computing Sciences of the University of Aberdeen, and a Postdoctoral fellow with the Czech Academy of Sciences in Prague.
I have completed my Ph.D. in Mathematics at the University of Regensburg, under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Ulrich Bunke and Prof. Dr. Clara Löh with a thesis on Hochschild and cyclic homology for bornological coarse spaces. I was supported by the research grants Curvature, Cycles, and Cohomology and the DFG SFB 1085 “Higher Invariants”.
Research interests
My main subject is Algebraic Topology. More specifically, my research involves a mixture of homotopy theory, homological algebra, category theory, combinatorial and geometric topology. I am interested in homology and homotopy theories, coarse geometry, combinatorial topology, K-theory, and applications of homotopy and category theory to graphs and complex systems, such as applications of TDA to neuroscience and brain dynamics.
